The History of The Little Princess Trust
The Little Princess trust was set up in memory of Hannah Tarplee, a little girl from Hereford who sadly lost a short battle with cancer in June 2005.

hannah-tarpleeHannah was a delightful, kind, and sweet natured child. She had a happy and busy life, living with her parents, Wendy and Simon, and her little brother George. Hannah liked pretty clothes, new shoes, the colour pink and dancing. She attended Hereford Academy of Dance, loving it from the moment she started, and even performed on stage. Her friends were really important to her and she always treated them with kindness.

Her illness was diagnosed during her first term at Hereford Junior Cathedral School. When Chemotherapy caused the loss of her hair, Wendy and Simon had a wig specially made for Hannah, as they were difficult to obtain in children’s sizes, but it was very expensive. During Hannah’s illness many friends wanted to donate money to help, perhaps to send her on a special holiday, but sadly this didn’t happen.

After Hannah died there was a modest amount of money and her parents chose to set up this Charity with support of the school and friends, so that as many children who needed it would benefit and have a tailor made high quality wig as quickly as possible at no cost to the family.

Hannah Tarplee was the inspiration for setting up the Little Princess Trust and The Princess Trust was born.
